Aspect 1: Community Base – refurbishing and remodelling the current ‘back block’

The main Youth, Children, Family and Community Centre zone

Work will include:

• Replacement of services, heating, ventilation and lighting
• New staircases and lifts
• Internal refurbishment of spaces
• Asbestos removal
• External cladding and window replacement
• Ensuring the facility complies with the DDA (Disability and Discrimination Act)

What will be ‘delivered’?

• Modern youth and children’s facilities
• Fit for purpose community spaces
• Refurbishment of spaces for rent or lease for partner organisations

• Hundreds of young people and children from the town and beyond
