About us

The Third Place is a landmark community partnership project in the town of Halesowen, West Midlands, with a vision to build a community venue to deliver a range of services to all ages.

Who we are

The Third Place is a partnership project led by Zion Christian Centre, Halesowen. Partners include Phase Trust, Windsor High School, Dudley Connexions, OM Lifehope, Black Country Foodbank, Voice in the City  and many others such as health and education organisations, social care, police, probation services and local businesses.

Why the Third Place?

People are looking for community in three main places, the home, work and one other place such as pubs, gyms, shopping malls, sports clubs, which sociologists refer to as ‘The Third Place’.

The Third Place team believes there is a need for a high quality venue for local people to meet, share life together and to access services and various leisure activities.
