Community stakeholdersThe Community Base, External Sports and Play and Church / Conference Centre developments of The Third Place development will include dedicated community spaces in addition to the specialist children and youth facilities. Zion Christian Centre is the lead organisation in redeveloping community areas, but a range of other organisations also have a longstanding interest in seeing enhancement of facilities for the benefit of 60,000 Halesowen residents and the wider community. Further details about Zion can be found in the Who We Are section. Main community facility stakeholdersBlack Country Food Bank A recent but significant partner going forward. The Halesowen branch is based at the existing facilities, along with the Black Country region's central warehouse and operations, with plans for it to be at the heart of the new Third Place community space. A food bank gives boxes of nutritionally balanced food and support to people experiencing emotional or financial crisis. Cornbow Manna Coffee Shop & Inspirations Hair Studio Users of current facilities such as the coffee shop and hairdressers have also been taken into account in realising The Third Place redevelopment plans. Community Groups A range of other local organisations use the current facilities too including arts groups, womens groups and support groups, plus several health and education authorities. Their needs too have been considered in plans to redevelop the community facilities. |
