Fundraising ideas for The Third Place

Donations from current facility users, government and corporate grants, facility hire or lease and borrowing will go a long way to raising the large sums required to develop the innovative proposals envisioned by the organisations leading The Third Place. However, there will still be a need for individuals and organisations to devise creative ways to raise funds for the long term benefit of large sections of the local community through this bold redevelopment.

We are sure that many of you will be able to create some imaginative fundraising schemes, but here are a few ideas to start that grey matter working!

• Have a clear out and sell off your unwanted possessions on e-Bay or in a car boot sale and donate the proceeds
• Take part in a sponsored event
• Organise a fundraising event at work or talk to your management about making a donation or getting involved in some way
• Recommend an organisation that may have grant money available for Youth, Community or Family schemes
• Consider a one off or regular donation, perhaps via payroll giving if your employer offers this service, or directly via the Donate button on this website.
• A legacy, part of any inheritance or your will could benefit families, young people or community members for years to come
