New Youth Services

By investing in these new facilities, Hub @ The Third Place hopes to deliver an increased range of services to a diverse range of young people from the Halesowen area, doubling numbers reached from 1,000 to 2,000 teenagers.

Proposed programmes following redevelopment

As at Summer 2009, the following are some of the key programmes the HUB will be able to provide from 2012, after completion of the Community Base.

In conjunction with Windsor High School:

• A New school-day inclusion learning support centre
• New Joint Volunteering & Community Leadership programme towards AQA accreditation for 16-17 year olds with the new 6th Form

In conjunction with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council:

• Youth Advice and Guidance centre

In conjunction with Dudley Primary Care Trust / Respect yourself Teenage Pregnancy unit:

• Sexual health advice centre for Young People

In conjunction with Dudley Connexions

• Support work for Young People Not in Employment or Education (NEET)
